Cala Xarraca

The beautiful cove of Cala Xarraca is a peaceful escape from the busy beaches in the south. Tucked away in the north close to Portinax this tranquil beach has clear waters which are ideal for snorkelling and is surrounded by lush forest and rocks. Popular with locals and in the know tourists it is the ideal location to take some time out and relax.

WHEN TO GO

This beach is as beautiful first thing in the morning as it is when the sunsets. Arrive early to secure one of the limited car parking spaces and stay all day and you’ll also feel like you’ve found your own private beach.

WHERE TO EAT

There is one restaurant on the beach which has been owned by the same family for 30 years. They offer local delicacies including fresh fish and rice dishes.

GETTING THERE

From Ibiza Town follow the road to the airport and when you reach San Jordi you will see the signposted beach (Ses Salines), follow this road all the way to the end past the salt flats. Arrive onto Las Salinas via the picture perfect wooden walkways from the car park.
